Kaliane's home . . .

Hi, and welcome to my home page - I'm seriously new to all this, so bear with me while I get my er . . . litterbox together . . . So who am I, and what am I planning to put here? Well, I'm Kal, although some know me by other names - "Kaliane" is the warrior-crone who came into being during one stage of my struggles to grow out of being a terminally nice girl, my guide into the "darker" (moon-dark power and earthdeep mystery) wildwoman who lurks beneath the surface of even the gentlest heart, and it's "as" Kal that I usually Make - yup, another painter/writer/sculptor type hits the web! I refer to myself as a "maker" rather than an artist, cos . . . (uh oh, philosophy ...!) because the making of any work is a deeply meditative, sensual, experiential process, and for me it's the doing and the bringing to light of an "internal" reality which "matters"; not so much the creation of a product. If what emerges under my hands has relevance for another, then that is a bonus of kinship and communication, proof for both of us that we are never wholly alone in our experiences. Painting and sculpting images of Woman/Goddess in various states of being is a funky way to learn, that's all ...and that's it re the bio on my work: either it means something to you or it doesn't, & if it doesn't, it's like explaining a joke (utterly pointless!). Drop in again occasionally & see what I've managed to get up here . . . (the following should give you an idea of what to expect from the Kalicat).

I'm looking for expressions of interest in a new ISP - hopefully one with unlimited access, or at least a tad cheaper than the currently available $3 to $7 per hour (akk!!!) ... say 120 hours per month for $50 odd? Call this market research: I'll have flyers around town soon, too. Mail me with info, comments, suggestions, or just to whine about the exhorbitant cost of living outside metropolitan areas...
